mental health systems mapping

Navigating our complex mental health system in Summit County can be difficult, especially when you or someone you love is in crisis. A community needs assessment recently identified that more Summit County residents did not know where to go to get mental health support than did know where to go. That’s why Building Hope has committed significant resources to mapping our mental health system.

What does that mean?

It means that we currently have experts conducting lots of research to create a flow chart (that we call a systems map) that will help you understand the best place to go the next time you need mental health help. This project is currently underway and  the systems map will be published within the next several months.

OUR DISCLAIMER: There is no "one size fits all" mental health treatment approach. Each circumstance will vary depending upon the individual's needs. This project aims to map what is currently available in our community in regards to mental health resources and the resources that our community experts recommend utilizing first. This is but a beginning for this program area. We will continue to add more dimensions to our systems map including insurance and demographic componenets to further customize the map to user needs.

Stay tuned… Our maps will be published soon!
