Get Trained

Do you feel passionately about mental health education? If so, becoming a mental health trainer might be right for you.  We always need reliable mental health educators in our community and if this interests you, we'd love to get you on your way to becoming a trainer.

HERE ARE THE STEPS WE REQUIRE PRIOR TO BECOMING A TRAINER:

1) Attend a community QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Suicide Prevention Training

2) Attend a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training

If, after having attended these trainings, you are interested in facilitating trainings for Building Hope, email Casey at Caseyd@summitfirc.org. We will set up an appointment with you and discuss next steps. For dates on upcoming QPR or MHFA trainings check out our calendar of events. If you do not see an upcoming event, email Casey.

Because Building Hope typically pays for our trainers certifications, we ask that trainers make a definitive commitment to facilitating multiple trainings once they have their certification. You must be available for a minimum of three trainings a year.
