SUMMARY:Coping\, living\, and even thriving during times of change and adversity
DESCRIPTION:with Jane Hahn\n\n\nJoin Jane Thatcher Hahn for a workshop about learning to cope with\, live with\, and even thrive during times of change and adversity. \nIf quarantine had a theme\, perhaps it would be control. Or\, rather\, a lack thereof. Uncertainty makes us feel vulnerable and so we try and escape it any way that we can. \nWe convince ourselves that we are fortune tellers and can therefore see the future. We make ourselves crazy\, spinning our minds through the same handful of scenarios we come up with\, over and over again\, never feeling any closer to some sort of resolution. \nHowever\, it seems a great paradox of life that it is actually through embracing the uncertainty that we thrive. Our lives are greatly determined by what we do when we get uncertain. \nEverything changes\, the question is\, do we change with it? “All that you touch you Change. All that you Change changes you. The only lasting truth is Change . Change is the one certainty of life\, and pain is the agent of change\, it forces you to wake up and see the world differently\, and the discomfort of it forces you to see the reality of it. It’s through pain that we learn\, personally and also universally.”

SUMMARY:RISE: Reframe. Identify. Stay. Embrace.
DESCRIPTION:Succeed in not being limited or constrained by something. Join Mackenzie St. Onge from the USSki and Snowboard w. her program called RISE.\n\n\n Mackenzie St.Onge is a former D1 athlete and Dartmouth College graduate. Passionate about athlete development she currently works for U.S. Ski & Snowboard as their Athlete Career & Education Manager. She is also the founder of The Sideline Perspective – a community based platform where injured and retired athletes can come together to find connection\, share stories\, and move forward with purpose. Through storytelling\, interviews\, and podcasts Mac has helped to shed light on the hidden challenges competitive athletes face when temporarily sidelined or no longer able to compete. \n \nA note from Mac: \nWelcome to the sideline – a place I’m pretty sure you don’t want to be right now. I get it\, I’ve been there\, and I’ve learned a lot along the way. Since retiring from competitive sports\, I’ve dedicated my career to helping people find themselves in the times when they are\, both literally and figuratively\, sidelined in life. The lessons learned in elite sports can be applied to so many aspects of life and I’m excited to help you grow in yours. \nThis webinar is designed to take you through a framework of critical thinking exercises that can guide your mental approach to being sidelined. Whether it’s a physical injury that is keeping you out of the mountains or Covid that is keeping you from ‘normal’ life – this framework is applicable in many\, many ways. However you may have found yourself here\, it is important to understand that mindset is everything. No matter our situation\, we always have the power to RISE above adversity and come back stronger… I hope you’ll join us February 24th!
