SUMMARY:Gentle Grounding in a Heavy World
DESCRIPTION:Do you find yourself feeling mentally and emotionally drained from balancing daily responsibilities alongside the ongoing stress and uncertainty of what’s happening in the world? \nYou may find yourself frequently checking the news or social media and experiencing an immediate sense of stress\, anger\, or emotional heaviness. Many people experience an internal conflict between wanting to stay informed and feeling overwhelmed by the volume or intensity of information. Others may feel a sense of paralysis\, wanting to care or take action but lacking the mental or emotional capacity to engage in a meaningful way. At the same time\, we are managing our daily responsibilities of work\, relationships\, and the various roles we hold. \nTricia Corso\, LCSW\, recognizes the sense of strain this places on us\, how we are holding both our personal responsibilities and the weight of external stressors simultaneously\, without sufficient space to process or recover. Through a blend of psychoeducation\, nervous system awareness\, and guided reflection\, this event highlights how stress shows up in both the mind and body\, helping to normalize these experiences while offering practical tools to feel more grounded\, regulated\, and supported.
