DESCRIPTION:QPR: Question\, Persuade\, and Refer: the 3 simple yet powerful steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. \nCommunity QPR (Question. Persuade. Refer): Suicide Prevention Training \nThis training is for those aged 18+ \nCome join us at the Summit County Community and Senior Center for a special event during Mental Health Awareness Month\, focused on suicide prevention. Statistics show that people are more likely to speak to a friend or family member about their struggles rather than a professional. Don’t miss out on this valuable opportunity to learn how to save lives. Childcare and food will be provided to all that will RSVP\, and who doesn’t love free food from La Perla?! Childcare will be located in a separate room in the building. Please RSVP for each child\, if you will be needing childcare. Register now! \nJust as people trained in CPR help save thousands of lives each year\, people trained in QPR (gatekeepers) learn how to: \n– Recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis \n– How to offer hope \n– How to get help and save a life \n\nSPANISH-EVENTBRITE LINK  TO INSCRIPTION: \nhttps://www.eventbrite.com/e/1325744139409?aff=oddtdtcreator \nCapacitación en Prevención del Suicidio. SUMMARY:Return to Self Support Group
DESCRIPTION:ARISE is excited to announce the launch of a new support group in partnership with Namasport Mental Health Studio. Return to Self is a free group therapy initiative designed specifically for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.\n\n\nWe recognize that many survivors continue to navigate chronic stress\, emotional dysregulation\, and fragmented self-identity long after the abuse ends. Return to Self offers a healing pathway rooted in the body\, led with clinical integrity\, and supported by community.  \nSponsored by Building Hope\, this free program will run twice a month in August\, September\, and October at Namasport in Frisco. Each 60-minute\, in-person session will be facilitated by a trauma-informed clinician. Participants are invited to bring their children\, who will have access to a trained mental health counselor providing therapeutic play-based support. \nWe believe healing happens in relationship—with others\, with our bodies\, and with ourselves. We would be honored to support you and your family on this journey. \n\n\nReturn to Self Dates: \n\n\nAugust 13 from 5:30 – 6:30 PM \nAugust 27 from 5:30 – 6:30 PM \nSeptember 10 from 5:30 – 6:30 PM \nSeptember 24 from 5:30 – 6:30 PM \nOctober 8 from 5:30 – 6:30 PM \nOctober 22 from 5:30 – 6:30 PM
