DESCRIPTION:The effects of physiologic stress on the body with Lauren Jefferson\, RN\n\n\nWhen we experience stress\, humans have  both a long-term hormonal response and a short-term nerve response. This can send our bodies and minds into a state of dysregulation particularly when we are always facing stress without a chance to regulate our systems. Stressors can have  long-term effects on both our mental and physical health which can manifest in life-altering conditions like depression\, IBS\, hypertension\, etc. We will discuss the effects of stress as well as some skills and techniques for daily maintenance of our nervous systems. \nEvent Facilitated in English
