Building Hope Mental Health Scholarships<\/h2>\n

Many times, one of the biggest barriers to accessing mental health care is cost. At Building Hope, we believe that cost should never keep someone from receiving the mental health care they need. So, Building Hope has created a scholarship program for Summit County locals who are living and\/or working in Summit County, but not able to pay for therapy. Individuals, families or couples can receive short-term, one-time funding to access therapy through an easy-to-use system.<\/p>\n

Financial Hardship<\/h2>\n

While we don\u2019t ask Building Hope Scholarship recipients to submit any financial information, we do ask that all recipients give a verbal confirmation that they are not able to pay for therapy on their own and that paying for therapy would present a significant financial challenge. This program is meant for those that either live or work in Summit County and are experiencing\u00a0financial hardship that prevents them from being able to afford mental health care.<\/p>\n

We are required to check whether clients have any other way to pay for therapy (insurance, Medicaid, EAP, sliding scales or eligible for financial assistance) before issuing a Building Hope Scholarship. Once staff have explored all other payment options with the client it is determined that there are still barriers to accessing care, a Building Hope Scholarship will be issued.<\/p>\n

A member from our Care Team will review your application and reach out to schedule the soonest available appointment to review your eligibility for a scholarship and other resources available in the county.<\/p>\n

Scholarship issuing appointments usually take about 20-30 minutes to complete, and can be done by phone or in-person if preferred.\u00a0<\/p>\n

During your appointment, the Care Team member will check your scholarship history and whether you are eligible for any alternative funding options to pay for therapy prior to issuing a Building Hope Scholarship. If no other payment options are available, you will be issued a Building Hope Scholarship.<\/p>\n

Scholarship Vouchers<\/h3>\n

Building Hope Mental Health Scholarships are accepted by most private practice providers and mental health agencies in the community.<\/p>\n

Once you have been approved for a Building Hope Scholarship, you will be able to select a provider of your choice or a Building Hope Care Team member can help you determine what provider will best meet your needs.<\/p>\n

Scholarships are good for up to 12 sessions of individual counseling. Scholarships can also cover group therapy, psychiatric visits or psychological testing, however, we CANNOT cover the cost of medication.<\/p>\n
