As you may know, we have been chasing different avenues to help ensure that Medicaid can be a smoother billing experience and more lucrative payer source for you to accept in your private practice. We have finalized<span>\u00a0<\/span><b>three<\/b><span>\u00a0<\/span>separate aspects that we strongly feel will help make Medicaid a more positive and beneficial experience for you. We encourage you to consider credentialing with Medicaid if you have not already done so (Please reach out to me for support with credentialing with Medicaid).<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<ol>\n<li>We&#8217;ve heard your frustrations regarding billing Medicaid and for this reason we are offering<span>\u00a0<\/span><i>free<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/i>services from a new billing vendor,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lefthandmgmt.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/lefthandmgmt.com\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1672459918632000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1sUbvlURU9Gu9GbFqbz-tU\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Left Hand Management<\/b><\/a>, who has demonstrated great capability and expertise in billing Medicaid.<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>They\u00a0are taking care of many outstanding issues that our private provider community has\u00a0experienced and are ensuring that Medicaid claims are submitted correctly and paid on the first go.<\/li>\n<li>We highly recommend using their service, or at least the<span>\u00a0<\/span><u>5 consulting hours<\/u>\u00a0that we are providing free of charge to our local network of providers<\/li>\n<li>This will help your practice in accepting and billing Medicaid (in addition to all other commercial insurance).\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<li><b>Rocky Mtn Health Plans<\/b>, our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coloradohealthinstitute.org\/research\/ways-raes\" target=\"_blank\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.coloradohealthinstitute.org\/research\/ways-raes&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1672459918632000&amp;usg=AOvVaw1mnyprtED9GC7RtwnUWLKk\" rel=\"noopener\">RAE<\/a>\u00a0(Regional Accountability Entity) which administers\u00a0Medicaid in our specific region (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coloradohealthinstitute.org\/sites\/default\/files\/2018-10\/ACC%20Map.png\" target=\"_blank\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.coloradohealthinstitute.org\/sites\/default\/files\/2018-10\/ACC%2520Map.png&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1672459918632000&amp;usg=AOvVaw2txjSyHTMg1BsK0TKaYIle\" rel=\"noopener\">#1<\/a>), has\u00a0<b>agreed to negotiate rate increases\u00a0<\/b>for mental health clinicians accepting\u00a0Medicaid in their private practices that serve clients in Summit County.<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>Rocky is also starting an equity program where an additional rate increase\u00a0(on top of the aforementioned new negotiated standard rate increase) will apply for<span>\u00a0<\/span><i>bilingual\u00a0providers<\/i>, and<span>\u00a0<\/span><i>providers specializing<\/i>\/certified in serving<span>\u00a0<\/span><i>LGBTQ+ populations<\/i>. Details\u00a0on the increased payment for equity criteria\u00a0are not confirmed at this\u00a0time, but are certainly worth asking about along with the rate increase.<\/li>\n<li>To negotiate a rate increase, and to explore whether you would qualify for Rocky&#8217;s special new equity program, please<span>\u00a0<\/span><b><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">complete the attached survey<\/span><\/b>, and submit to Maureen Carney &lt;<a href=\"mailto:Maureen.Carney@rmhp.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maureen.Carney@rmhp.org<\/a>&gt; and Chasity Edwards &lt;<a href=\"mailto:Chasity.Edwards@rmhp.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chasity.Edwards@rmhp.org<\/a>&gt; to begin the discussion.\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<li><b>Medicaid stipends are here!<\/b><\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>Building Hope has received firm approval and confirmation that we are allowed to pay an additional &#8220;stipend&#8221; amount per Medicaid session to our local providers.<\/li>\n<li>We will<span>\u00a0<\/span><i>pay the difference<\/i><span>\u00a0<\/span>of your standard Medicaid reimbursement amount to bring you up to a total of $100 per hour session.
