First and foremost, please find attached\u00a0an amazing, comprehensive\u00a0<\/span>resource guide<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>developed by FIRC in partnership\u00a0with OneDegree which covers several social service areas: Emergency Assistance, Family Support, Housing, Food Services, Health & Wellness, and Legal & Financial. Huge kudos to FIRC for pulling this excellent resource guide together.<\/p>\n

Important Provider Survey:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Building Hope is partnering with the Katz Amsterdam Foundation to get this important mental health provider survey\u00a0out to our community:\u00a0www.PRCsurvey.com\/begin\/MountainBehHealthProvider<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Please complete this survey at your earliest convenience in order to help our community wide effort to improve quality of life and wellbeing. This survey is only open till Monday (4\/18), so we would love it if you could complete it before then.<\/p>\n

Building Hope’s NEW Crisis Slots program:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

Next day stabilization\u00a0care with up to 3-5 days of consecutive visits is now available for clients in a mental health crisis through Building\u00a0Hope’s new Crisis Slots program. We’ve partnered with the amazing team over at SMART to pull together this special and unique offering. Immediate support will be provided to clients that are seen and referred by SMART (we are also working on being able to take referrals from the hospital as well). Feel free to respond back with questions about this program as we are very excited\u00a0about its launch!<\/p>\n

Ukrainian Support Group<\/em>, please contact Nichole Hart for details:\u00a0nichole@hartcounselingservices.com<\/a>. This may or may not become an ongoing group, and might function as more of a meeting space depending on community need. The flyer for tonight’s group at 5:30pm is attached.<\/p>\n

Youth Culinary Group<\/em>, every Tues in April from 4:30-7:30pm\u00a0@ Frisco Senior Ctr (flyer attached)<\/p>\n

Emotions 101<\/em>, an eight-week workshop for teens and young adults ages 16 to 25. Virtual mtgs from 4-5:30pm, starting May 3rd with the following dates: May 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, and June 14, 21, 28 (flyer attached)<\/p>\n

DBT Skills Group<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>on Fridays from 3:30-4:30pm for Middle School age students within Summit County (English and Spanish flyers attached)<\/p>\n

Brain Injury Support Group<\/em>, ongoing on a monthly basis: times, dates and activities vary\u00a0(flyer attached)<\/p>\n

Back by popular demand, Building Hope is hosting a monthly zoom session for our providers to get together for a quick hour of sharing news and networking. These will take place the\u00a01st Wednesday of every month from 8-9am.<\/p>\n

The Suicide Prevention Action Team is building a community coalition of parents and advocates for youth mental health advocacy and suicide prevention. Their first meeting will be held on May 25th, 6:30-8:00pm, in the Medical Office Building Miner’s Creek Conference Room. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Call for Play Therapists!<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are in desperate\u00a0need of more play therapists, and providers specializing in child and adolescent care. If you’d like to take a training or start the process of becoming a Registered Play Therapist\/Synergetic Play Therapist, please use our Mini Grant to help support your further education. If you can make any recommendations for therapists already practicing in this realm, or interested in coming up to Summit County, please reach out to me directly.<\/p>\n

We are also looking similarly to add bilingual and LGBTQ+ specializing providers to our community. Any help would be appreciated!<\/p>\n

To search, you\u2019ll need to enter either the member\u2019s State\u00a0Medicaid<\/span>\u00a0ID (one letter followed by 6 numbers) OR two of the following: SSN, Birth Date, Member Name. You can search for just today\u2019s date, or for a one month period at a time.<\/p>\n

Once the member\u2019s eligibility results are displayed, the main information that you\u2019ll want to focus on is the member\u2019s RAE assignment. This information is found in the\u00a0Managed Care Details<\/strong>\u00a0section of the eligibility results. To get there, from the main screen, you can click any of the links underneath \u201cCoverage\u201d such as\u00a0Medicaid<\/span>\u00a0State Plan<\/em>\u00a0or\u00a0Behavioral Health Benefits<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Funds available for professional development to support addictions counseling credentialing:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Funds are available through the nicotine tax to support addictions counseling credentials and to staff support groups and one on one counseling. We are working with several community members that are buying or renovating office spaces that can potentially be used by our community mental health providers in private practice.
