They are doing this because they believe that it is hard to find youth program information and that youth should have the chance to participate in what they are interested in regardless of background, accessibility challenges, or financial circumstances.<\/p>\n The Process:<\/strong><\/p>\n SSD and Project Thrive ask that caseworkers, supporters, therapists, clinicians, etc guide the youth or family to fill out the scholarship application for the respective organization\/camp they are interested in. They also ask that the person assisting this youth (referring organization staff member) fill out the referral form for Proyecto Thrive funds.<\/p>\n After they receive the completed referral form and a copy of the completed scholarship application, they will review the documentation and process a direct payment to the organization where the youth is enrolling in programs (for example, Theatre Silco). The training will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 from 8:30am-4:30pm MT. This training will be an 8-hour, single-day, online format. The OSP provides this training free of charge, and they often run into situations where interested participants will register and then no-show, or cancel too close to the training date to fill their space. No-shows and last-minute cancellations unfortunately take away opportunities for others to participate. The training is funded by OSP and comes at NO COST to you.<\/p>\n The Columbia Protocol, also known as the Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS), supports suicide risk assessment through a series of simple, plain-language questions that anyone can ask. The answers help users identify whether someone is at risk for suicide, assess the severity and immediacy of that risk, and gauge the level of support that the person\u00a0needs.
