FREE Peer Support Training Oct. 28th-29th<\/strong><\/p>\n

Building Hope provides funding opportunities to trained peers to run peer-led support groups in Summit County. In this training, you will learn skills to help support other individuals in the community with whatever they may be dealing with, and how to recognize when someone may need to be connected to a higher level of care and other appropriate resources. In addition to facilitating a Peer Support Group in Summit County, there are several other opportunities in the community to do peer support work. While this is not a training to certify you as a peer specialist, it can be taken to further your knowledge and competence in peer work and skills.<\/p>\n

Apply for Funding to Run a Community Support Group!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mental health providers that live in or serve Summit County may apply for support group funding through 2024 through this form<\/a>. The application is open year-round and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Support groups can be proposed for up to 12 group sessions at a time, with the option for holding more group sessions by re-applying. The same provider may propose\/apply for funding for multiple different groups in one calendar year as well. Groups supported financially by Building Hope need to be open to the public of Summit County as well as free for them to participate in. Building Hope has funding this year to assist local Summit County mental health providers in obtaining credentialing with insurance companies, enabling them to accept & bill insurance with our Billing and Credentialing program, thus making mental health treatment more accessible and affordable for individuals in our community. Check your licenses and liability insurance on Mountain Strong!<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a good time of year to confirm that you are current with all your licenses and certificates on Mountain Strong. All licenses, insurance certificates and DORA registrations must be current on your Mountain Strong account. Provider accounts will automatically become inactive if your documents are not up to date.\u00a0An inactive account will not receive new client requests, and you will be unable to log sessions or receive payments.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please log into your account to verify that your documentation is current. Accounts that are not current will have a “Pending” status, or you may be taken directly to your provider application to make your updates.<\/p>\n

To update your account, click the blue “View\/Edit Profile” button. Once in your profile, click through all tabs to make sure everything is current. Pay special attention to the Licensure & Insurance Information tab.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Celebrate the Beat Seeking Youth Mental Health Professional for it’s After-School Programming<\/strong><\/p>\n

Celebrate the Beat\u00a0<\/a>is seeking a dedicated youth mental health professional to provide clinician support for our after-school programs. We offer dynamic dance and movement classes aimed at fostering physical and emotional well-being for students. We need support on Mondays from 3:45pm-5:45pm at Dillon Valley Elementary in the gymnasium, and on Tuesdays from 3:45pm-5:45pm at Silverthorne Elementary, also in the gymnasium.<\/p>\n

Mile High Behavioral Healthcare (MHBHC) has a mission to provide a caring, seamless continuum of mental health care, substance use disorder prevention and treatment, and\/or STI, HIV, and viral hepatitis prevention services to those in need. As part of these services,\u00a0MHBHC and their partners in Summit County are exploring community views, both positive and negative, related to programs that support individuals who use substances, especially those that inject drugs. <\/strong><\/p>\n
