My role is to join individuals taking those risks and create a safe place to explore new possibilities. My approach can help people develop new insights into themselves by healing trauma and recognizing their inherent strengths to become more confident in themselves. I also believe in the importance of teaching patients about brain functionality and emotional regulation to help them better understand our experiences.

I received my Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado where my passion for working in mental health began. While working at the Boulder Juvenile Assessment Center, I recognized the need for greater mental health care in order to help people improve their life circumstances. This led to my desire to continue my education to better serve those in my community struggling with mental health issues. I received my Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Denver and have continued my work in a variety of settings, including residential treatment facilities, day treatment centers, wilderness settings, schools, disaster settings, and private practice. I am passionate about healing trauma with the power of human connection while also utilizing evidence-based approaches, such as, EMDR, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Brainspotting, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Functional Family Therapy. During my free time, I enjoy spending as much time as possible exploring the outdoors. I love mountain biking, backcountry snowboarding, backpacking, and going on adventures with my dog, Dakota.

I started Mountain Minds Therapy because I am passionate about mental health and believe that everyone could use support at some point in their lives. I also believe that clinical work is only one way of helping people with mental health injuries. That is why in addition to clinical work, I engage in disaster response, clinical supervision, EMDR consultation, mental health preparation for teams going on expeditions, research, teach different mental health topics to businesses and schools, and run a wilderness therapy program for first responders and healthcare workers. I feel fortunate to be able to work with people every day who are trying to improve their lives and to be there to support them along their mental health journey.
["GET
