Second Circle Program Opens in Mesa County

The Circle Program in Mesa County held its grand opening this morning, the program’s second location in the state (the first is in Pueblo). The Circle Program is the only state-funded intensive residential program designed for people with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. This program welcomes people with criminal justice involvement and can address their criminogenic risks in addition to their behavioral health needs. Read the press release covering the opening here.

Provider Spotlight: Elevating Culturally-Responsive Care

This July the Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) is recognizing Minority Mental Health Awareness Month to underscore the importance of improving access to mental health treatment and breaking down barriers to care. We chatted with Amanda Daniel, Cultural Relevance Manager at the Jefferson Center for Mental Health, to learn how providers can adapt services to honor the unique needs of their clients.
