I offer a compassionate approach to psychotherapy that works through the body to bring unconscious information (often held as tensions, chronic illness, nervous system disorders, anxiety, depression, nightmares, low self-esteem and inabilities to function at full capacity) into conscious awareness, facilitating deep and lasting changes. Our childhood wounds and traumas become blocks to the manifestation of our purpose/gifts. I honor the inherent wisdom of my clients and help them find authentic expression of their gifts. My strengths are my ability to use my intuition to help clients "put the pieces together," and my own personal experience with resolving trauma.

Grounded in the Hakomi method, my practice emphasizes mindfulness, non-violence, and inherent wholeness of the client. I have additional training in trauma resolution through the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute and EMDR. My approach encourages resolution at deeper levels than traditional talk therapies by working experientially through somatic (body-centered) awareness. My approach is integrative, including a variety of complimentary methods.

I have an undergraduate education in biochemistry. I worked as a research scientist for 16 years, giving me a strong foundation for understanding brain chemistry and function. I also have a strong background in childhood development. I am a certified yoga teacher, and bring this experience into my therapy practice.
