If you grew up in a culture that viewed mental health as taboo, know that you are not alone. Due to a variety of factors, many of us are led to believe that we have to “deal” with life’s obstacles alone and for that reason people are suffering silently, feeling stuck and hopeless. I believe that people and relationships can thrive if given the proper support, nourishment, and environment. We are all given the same tools, but how helpful can it be if we were never taught how to use them? With some direction, non-judgement, and unconditional positive regard I believe people are capable of incredible things.

Our mission at Forma Therapy is to empower individuals, and relationships (whether, traditional, non-traditional, LGBTQIA+, etc.) and family systems to step into their full potential. I utilize emotionally focused, cognitive behavioral, person-centered and humor in addressing things such as communication, identity, anxiety/depression, grief, and much more.

What I admire most about my clients is their uniqueness, courage, and heart. Oftentimes, getting started can be the most difficult thing to do. You may be feeling scared, vulnerable, or even lost. I look to affirm, validate, and also challenge my clients in a loving but firm manner. You’ve tried this on your own; now let’s try something different – together.
