Vanessa is a clinician and yoga instructor at Namasport Mental Health Studio. She earned her doctorate from the University of Utah with an emphasis on educational and clinical psychology. During graduate school, Vanessa found her personal yoga practice, which had a transformational impact on her professional work. As a psychologist and yoga teacher, Vanessa integrates evidence-based clinical therapies with somatic and philosophical elements of yoga for healing. Therapy modalities like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and internal family systems (IFS) are used alongside mindfulness, breathwork, and gentle movement during sessions—tailored to your goals and comfort. Vanessa aims to balance thoughtful exploration with practical tools that translate insight into lived, embodied change. She practices from a trauma-informed, humanistic lens and welcome individuals of all identities and backgrounds. Come as you are!
