Building Hope Volunteer Opportunities

We are always looking for residents interested in volunteering to help at Connectedness, Outreach, and Fundraising events.

Each volunteer helps us extend our reach and further our mission to create a more coordinated, effective, and responsive mental health system that promotes emotional health, reduces stigma, and improves access to care and support for everyone in Summit County.

Ways to Volunteer

Ambassadors

Building Hope Ambassadors are the heart of our community outreach. Trained to share our mission and values, they help bring people together at Connectedness and Outreach Events—welcoming guests, sparking conversations, and ensuring everyone feels seen, supported, and included.

Duties:

• Introduce Building Hope’s mission and goals at the start of Connectedness and outreach events.
• Share your story.  Sharing our story destigmatizes mental health by sharing with peers.
• Participate in the Workshop – Have Fun!
• Staff resource tables at community outreach events.

Expectations:

• Complete a 90-minute virtual ambassador training, offered monthly.
• Time Commitment: 3-4x /year,  2-3 hrs/event

Steps:

• Fill out the inquiry form – After signing up, you will receive information on training dates.
• Attend an Ambassador Training event and complete onboarding.
