Resources
For Adults, Teens, Parents, Mental Health Providers, and the Workplace
Resources for Adults
Life is difficult. It is so fluid and unpredictable, and it’s easy to find ourselves feeling overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next. It’s okay to not be okay. When you feel anxious, depressed, or trapped, and can’t seem to climb out of the rut, reach out for support, therapy, and other tools and resources that can offer hope. Summit County can be a lonely place, and sometimes we just need help finding a friend. Come to an event, find a therapist, or join a support group.
Resources for Youth/Teens
Being a teenager just might be one of the toughest stages in life. You are craving freedom and independence, but also may find yourself managing anxiety, depression, substance abuse or suicidal thoughts. Your parents may or may not be around, but either way, it’s usually hard to always see eye to eye. That’s normal. Thankfully, there are many resources to help you through this season. Come to an event, find a therapist, or join a support group.
Resources for Parents
When parents learn that their children are struggling with mental illness, substance abuse, suicidal thoughts, or anxiety, it can feel overwhelming. There is not a unique rule book for each child or teenager. But there are support groups, therapy resources, and wisdom from other parents who have traveled the road before that can be helpful in the middle of this new territory.
Resources for the Workplace
We get to know our co-workers very closely. We often have a front-row seat to each other’s family life, financial and physical well-being. The stress and pressures of work can often be overwhelming. How can we best step in to offer support and know when to encourage others to seek help for mental health? Our resources for the workplace were designed for you and your teams.
Resources for Providers
Building Hope provides many resources to Mental Health Providers in our community.
