Narcan Vending Machine

Megan Bean is part of a research team at the University of Colorado working on implementing a Narcan Vending machine in Summit County. We are hoping to get perspectives from people in the community on best locations to put the machine and why. Ideally, we want perspectives from people currently using drugs, since the goal of the vending machine is to reach people who may not yet be receiving Narcan.

We have not had great success with recruitment so far, and would greatly appreciate your help and/or you directing us to someone who you think may be able to help us with recruitment. Please email Meagan Bean with any questions or follow up.

Now Available: 2024 May is Mental Health Month Toolkit

The month of May is just around the corner. In preparation, MHA is excited to announce the release of our highly anticipated 2024 May is Mental Health Month toolkit!

This year’s theme for Mental Health Month is “Where to Start: Mental Health in a Changing World.” It can be overwhelming to navigate the various challenges and changes happening around us. The pressures of work, relationships, and societal factors, like politics, climate change, and the economy, can significantly impact our mental well-being, sometimes even more than we realize.

MHA’s FREE toolkit provides fact sheets, worksheets, sample communications materials, sample social media, and more to help individuals:

  • Learn how modern life affects mental health with new resources to navigate our changing world.
  • Act by building a coping toolbox to better manage stress, difficult emotions, and challenging situations.
  • Advocate to improve mental health for themselves, their loved ones, and their community.

Since 1949, Mental Health America and our affiliates across the country have observed May as Mental Health Month by reaching out to millions of people through the media, local events, and screenings. We invite you to join us in this effort by downloading the toolkit.
