Adam is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate and Board-Certified Music Therapist. He earned his MA in Couples and Family Counseling from the University of Colorado Denver. He has experience working with children, adults, and families in a variety of settings including long term care, residential, and in-home/in-community. He provides therapy services at Mountain Family Center in Fairplay, CO every Wednesday-Friday.

When working as a Music Therapist at a children’s residential facility early in his career, he became aware of the vital role family systems played for family reunification to be successful. This influenced him to further his education and experience in family counseling and attachment-based therapy.

He currently works with a wide population of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Adam finds deep satisfaction with helping people explore and overcome barriers that life supplies. He specializes in helping clients cope with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, grief and loss, difficult child behaviors, and healthy relationships with others. He believes the therapeutic relationship, combined with the client’s motivation to create change, is the foundation for effective therapy. Adam uses a variety of therapeutic tools tailored to each client’s needs to help them enhance self-awareness, learn new coping tools, and access their power to heal, grow, and create the lives they want to live.
