My name is Julie Pepin and I am a licensed professional counselor living in and serving the Summit County area. I completed my Master’s of Arts, internship, and licensure at Adams State University in Alamosa CO, where I worked at the San Luis Valley Behavioral Health Group. This experience offered me the opportunity to work with clients with a wide variety of needs.

I approach counseling from a trauma-focused, person-centered philosophy of compassion, gentle guidance, acceptance, and the belief that my clients have the capacity to heal nestled in their souls. My job is to help them find the answers, employing EMDR, to guide clients through healing their trauma, as well as, DBT to teach emotion management skills and mindfulness practices, to clients struggling with Grief, ADHD, Borderline Personality Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, and Complex Trauma.

I was drawn to the high country 16 years ago to feed my appetite for beauty and the thrill of winter adventures, as well as playing on the lake. My number one joy in life is dog sledding and training sled dog puppies.
