I have dedicated half of my life to Nursing and am so blessed to have helped thousands of people. I decided to go into healthcare at a very young age and received my bachelors in Nursing with a minor in psychology from The University of Georgia and The Medical College of Georgia. After 15 years of registered nursing, predominantly in Labor & Delivery, NICU, and Women’s Oncology, I attended Georgetown University where I earned a double Master’s in Midwifery and Women’s Health. I have always been a holistic caregiver and enjoy treating others with an integrative approach, utilizing evidence-based knowledge from Eastern and Western medicines. After several years of catching babies and helping women in their most vulnerable times, mainly childbirth, postpartum and peri/menopause, I found a greater need to support mental wellness to enhance one’s quality of life. My calm demeanor in critical moments has brought insight into the importance of the spiritual, mental, and physical well-being for patients, family, and loved ones. I have always been passionate about treating the whole patient and realized there was a need to connect mental health ailments with correlating symptoms within the body. Thus I have spent years studying Functional Medicine and psychology/psychiatry. I enjoy getting to the root cause of mental health ailments and I am close to finishing my Post-Masters in Psychiatry.
Psychiatry is always at the forefront when helping others heal and mental health ailments often present with an accompanying body complaint. I appreciate evaluating and educating on sexual wellness, hormone, thyroid, nutrient, and lifestyle optimization with an authentic care plan for each patient. I am an empathetic, active listener who loves to formulate an ideal plan of care with input from each patient. Building rapport and getting to know my patients brings me great joy!
When I am not studying, as I am a lifelong student, or caring for patients, I will most likely be spending time with my family. We enjoy exploring Mexico, Central America, and other tropical regions within the United States. I do cherish my quiet time, which I spend growing food & herbs, reading, or hiking in the Golden area. I, sincerely, look forward to being a contributing team-member and provider to the local Golden area!
