My view of human nature is one full of strength and resiliency. We all have the desire to live healthy and productive lives, but at times we face the challenges of unexpected life events, loss, and stressors. This is where a positive, validating and accepting relationship with your counselor becomes invaluable. Counseling provides a client dedicated time focused on present day issues as well as past experiences still impacting overall wellbeing. Empowerment, believing in yourself and learning how to like, love and accept your whole person is my goal as your therapist.

Since the beginning of my career, I have worked with individuals with serious mental illness, college students, substance use and women’s issues, both in an outpatient setting and private practice.

My Bachelor of Psychology was earned from West Virginia University in 1999 and my Master’s in Professional Counseling was earned from Georgia State University in 2002.
