RAVI’S PROVIDER UPDATES

Dear Summit County Mental Health Providers,

Thank you so much for attending our Provider Mixer last week! For those that could not attend, this is an awesome event to hear about systematic changes, financial assistance opportunities for providers and continuing education. We really hope to have the pleasure of hosting you at our next mixer that will take place in late January 2020!

Below are FOUR IMPORTANT follow-up items & one announcement from Eagle County:

1) TAKE A SURVEY – Building Hope is working hard with a new contractor (Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education) to determine how we can help increase provider capacity in Summit County. This survey is critical to understanding capacity in our community. For those of you who were not at the mixer, please take this important survey to help our efforts: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NYYCLSG.

2) INSURANCE INCENTIVE PROGRAM – One of the key points shared during our mixer was that 56% of scholarship recipients have insurance! We heard our providers loud and clear that taking insurance is difficult and time consuming. So Building Hope is in the process of creating an insurance incentive program that would:
      a) cover billing management for all provider’s insurance claims
      b) cover the reimbursement price gap for Medicaid clients to equal the Building Hope Scholarship reimbursement rates for up to six months. (i,e. if an LPC only gets reimbursed $76 for a Medicaid client, Building Hope would provide an additional $9 a session so that the provider would make $85 per hour even seeing a Medicaid client. Building Hope is prepared to close this reimbursement gap for up to 24 sessions worth of care).
*Attached is a document outlining reimbursement rates for several commercial insurances and Medicaid.  They are COMPELLING!  Now that Medicaid is managed by Rocky Mountain Health Plans, a completely new entity, the process and payments should be much more streamlined and easy. Plus, the commercial carriers reimbursing for Peak Health Alliance rates are out of this world! ($109 for 45 minutes; $165 for 60 minutes)! Building Hope is working hard to make it easier for YOU to take insurance. We sincerely hope that this will encourage you to take insurance if you currently do not.

  • Past month’s invoices are due on or before the 5th of the month. Payment will be processed after the 5th and should be expected by the 20th of the month.
  • We are in the process of adding neurofeedback services through Amazing Brains to the scholarship program as well. An online request process for referral will be created once details are ironed out. Please attend their open house at their Frisco location on December 11th to check out their services!
