Support Group Options in the Summit County Community
“It has really helped me in a time of darkness and uncertainty. It has also given me my motivation back in taking care of myself.”
Life is challenging and often filled with struggles that appear when you least expect it. Regardless of what you are experiencing, here at Building Hope we want to provide you with the resources and assistance you need during these difficult times. In collaboration with other community partners, Community Support Groups have evolved and now offer a wide range of options for many challenging life topics.
Dealing with the loss of a loved one, suffering from a traumatic brain injury, or surviving a sexual assault can benefit from connecting with others like you. Some people may not be ready or feel the need for one-on-one therapy but are open to a group atmosphere. Building Hope has partnered with local therapists to offer in-person and virtual gathering places for locals and their peer groups covering a wide range of life topics.
These groups provide an opportunity to come together to connect with the community, share how you are doing and gain tips and skills to thrive when facing adversity…Free to individuals, organizations, and group members as needed.
Current groups include:
Grief Support, Walking Away from Substance Shame, Fit to Recover, Veteran Support, Mindful Man, Auricular Acupuncture, New Mom Support, Parents of Toddlers, Women’s Resiliency, Connection Recovery Support Group-Living with Mental Illness, Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Support, Summit County Brain Injury Support Group, Suicide Loss Support, and more. “Having a small group and an amazing therapist to help us along the way was very beneficial. She really listened to us and had us set personal goals.”

We are grateful for your support to continue our impact on the community.
