I’m Christa.
I understand that living in a mountain community can create the illusion that life is meant to feel good all the time. Beautiful views, endless activities, and a “handle it yourself” mentality are common here. Yet many people find themselves over-functioning or disconnected. You may feel stuck in patterns you don’t understand, or you may simply be navigating a life transition. Therapy is a place for both.
My work is trauma-informed, grounded in EMDR and nervous-system based approaches. That means we don’t just talk about what’s happened; we also pay attention to how stress and trauma live in the body. Together, we work in ways that help your nervous system feel safer, and more regulated over time. In our sessions, I will be present with you as we gently explore what’s beneath the surface, build regulation skills, and process trauma in a paced and collaborative way.
As a relational therapist, I believe a safe, attuned relationship is where meaningful change begins. You don’t need to have it all figured out before starting. I will meet you where you are and walk alongside you as you reconnect with your resilience and capacity for change. Overtime things begin to feel a little less hard and a lot more manageable.
