KAF is sponsoring another free CEU opportunity titled “Patient Loss: Risk Management Considerations for Mental Health Providers” on Jan 25th from 11am-1pm. This 2-hour presentation will focus on risk management considerations related to the loss of a patient in a mental health practice. We will discuss general risk management strategies for working with patients at all levels of risk as well as specific strategies for dealing with suicidal patients. Issues of documentation, confidentiality, records requests, and provider self-care in the aftermath of a patient loss will be addressed.

Developing Suicide Intervention & Postvention Protocols for Schools:
Schools are uniquely positioned to help prevent youth suicide. Partners for Children’s Mental Health (PCMH) is offering two free workshops to help Colorado school districts improve their policies and procedures on intervening with students at risk of suicide and providing support after a suicide loss. Interested individuals may register here

A unique virtual Conflict & Repair Facilitation Training is happening from Jan 27-29. Build your capacity and skills in managing conflict and repair, develop your role as a facilitator, and gain experience using reliable models for conflict and repair between two people, a group, and in settings where people have ongoing interactions. The cost of this 3 day training is $650 and 24 CEUs are available. Please see attached flyer for details.
